Vlog: Cheating and Willpower

Happy Friday! I recorded this blog earlier this week to clear up what I thought may have been a little confusion on cheat meals. My bottom line: I'm allergic to a lot of foods and eating poorly makes my stomach hurt, so I don't cheat often. Cheats work for some people, and for some people they don't, you just have to find your jam!

  1. Hi Little B, I hope I wasn't one of the people to offend you when I said I was excited for your new stage... I didn't think that you were going to start having off meals on a regular basis, I was more excited about the part where you said you weren't going to be as strict when preparing for a photo shoot, just lower carbs slightly and adding in a bit of cardio rather than restricting your diet by a lot. I'm sorry if I upset you... Sometimes things come across the wrong way when they are typed out... :( Hope you have a great holiday this weekend! :)

  3. Here's a great article I just read last night. It still applies, even if you're not paleo. When I cheat, it's because I've been drinking (bad cheating), or because it's really worth it (good cheating, IMO). Don't cheat or eat things that are not on your personal plan unless they taste reallllly good.

  4. i definitely agree with you in that the healthier you eat the healthier you WANT to eat (i find that to be true too!). that being said, itz fine every so occasionally to "indulge" or "cheat" or whatever you want to call it. i think you're awesome and so is your outlook!!

  5. I am so with you! I have no desire to eat cheat meals of unhealthy! So many people are like "you could eat this and nothing would happen" but I honestly do not want to! People do not understand this!! Great Vlog girl!

  6. Love this post. I decided to have a cheat a couple weekends ago and found that it was a slippery slope. Eating half a pizza on Saturday led to "well, I already effed up my weekend, might as well eat bad Sunday too"... The thing is, I didn't even CRAVE the pizza like I thought I would when Saturday finally came. I think I ate it because all week I was like "I CAN'T WAIT TO HAVE PIZZA ON MY CHEAT DAY!" I felt like complete shit physically and mentally. I find it reallllly hard to get back on track after a cheat day whereas other people are able to use it to "reset". I used to be in a similar place as you (where I saw absolutely no value in cheat days) and I am trying to get back there! Thanks for the honesty, b!
