My Epic Cheat Meal Weekend

I always take random pictures throughout the weekend and then never upload them or put them anywhere so I decided a weekly iPhone photo dump is needed :)

Dinner on Friday night was turkey chili and it was freakin' amazing if I do say so myself. I ate mine on top of broccoli slaw which is a new favorite of mine, and topped with avocado, tomato, and red onion.

Saturday we had our cake tasting! Bummer: I didn't get to try any cake because I didn't want to be in pain the rest of the day from the gluten/dairy. Non bummer: They are going to make the cake that we cut gluten and dairy free!! I'm so excited! I didn't think it was possible, but apparently it is!

This is how Saturday night started- with a Sinless Margarita before we left for dinner. If you haven't tried these you're totally missing out. There are only 5 calories per serving, it's all natural, and even sweetened with Stevia. All you do is add the tequila and drink :) These are true skinny margaritas, and they still taste amazing. Big thanks to Zach at Sinless for sending this over, I loved the strawberry too!

Perfect out to eat dinner- grilled chicken and steamed veggies with no butter or oil to be found. I love it when this happens.

And yes. That is what you think it is. A Taco Bell taco. Can I tell you the last time I had one of these? No, I can't because I literally can't remember. Let's just say we ended up having one too many drinks which led to one too many tacos. Gah. My stomach is still in pain as I write this, but I will say my muscles look fuller than ever today and I had a pretty stellar workout too. Don't worry, I will NOT be making this a regular occurrence. I think I can live another 3 years without it!

I fueled up with these coconut pancakes from Spoonful of Fit and I will definitely be making them over and over again. SUPER fluffy and super filling. PS have you ever seen blueberries that big? They were legit the size of a quarter. So weird.

A little post workout pump shot after doing arms and cardio yesterday. I had crazy vein action going on all day-- must have been all those taco carbs. :/

And I'll leave you with my favorite pic of the weekend. I love that girl.

What's your cheat meal theory?
I like to keep it clean as much as I can so that when nights like this happen I can giggle about it and brush it off!

  5. Ooh! I will definitely have to try that Sinless Cocktail mix! I don't drink often, but if I do, that sounds like the way to indulge! I'm am glad you are so honest and keep it real. That is refreshing. Life is about balance, I have learned.

Again, so glad you liked the coconut pancakes. They look amazing! Yay for gluten-free/dairy-free wedding cake. I didn't know that was possible either. YUM...

  6. I am so happy to see you following the post you last wrote and finding that "balance" :))) I know a lot of girls follow you and I think we are all going to love this new stage of you letting yourself "cheat" a little, which will make us all feel a little more normal! I am still trying to find my own balance so I can't wait to see you go through this new journey! Thanks Little B!!!

    1. Haha well I don't really think it's a new stage, I've always had little one off cheats but much prefer to keep it clean as close to 100% of the time as possible. My body feels much much better that way :)

  7. I have seen so many girls post about Sinless mixes! I have two girlfriends coming up to NYC from Houston to visit me this weekend....I think I MUST find this margarita mix to try with them while they're here!

Totally agree with what Crystal said! It's so appreciated that you share some of your hiccups along with your successes. Thanks for keeping it REAL!

When I saw the email notification for the post that read, "My Epic Cheat Meal Weekend", I was like "EPIC?!". But I have to say, I've done much worse than a few drinks and a Taco Bell taco...much...much..worse X| You are so disciplined! It's like people say though, one cheat meal isn't going to completely throw you off track just like one healthy meal won't make you fit!

It's so nice and really motivating to read your posts and be able to relate to some of the things you go through and choices you make because I don't have very many friends up here with me who live the lifestyle :) THANKS for sharing!!

    1. Granted I haven't had Taco Bell (or any fast food for that matter) in over 2 years, it was definitely pretty epic for me haha! I totally agree though, you have to allow for those random cheats and know that it's pretty easy to bounce back as long as it doesn't become a regular thing :)

  8. Question: You mentioned that you didn't try the cake because of the gluten and dairy but I know you eat dairy because you eat Greek yogurt? So I'm confused and would love some extra info about that. :)

    1. I definitely don't eat dairy in general. I eat Greek yogurt and that's it-- Greek yogurt has probiotics in it and less than %5 lactose so as long as I don't eat an entire container, I'm usually okay. Additionally, if I am trying to lean out for something the greek yogurt is the first thing to go from my diet to cut down on any extra bloat the lactose may cause.

    2. I briefly glanced down and saw you mention your greek yogurt as a source of probiotic. I'm the same way but sometimes i just don't feel like eating any dairy at all.I stumbled upon Kevita drinks and they are so delicious and refreshing and the probiotics in them stands up pretty well to the competition. Super low-cal, hardly any sugar,if any,and they are really, really good! I was impressed. Now I'm hooked.

Anyhow, thought I'd share.I love your blog, thanks for sharing all that you do!!

  9. I have never heard of that margarita mix! When I first saw the term "sinless" I figured it would have lots of fake stuff in it, but the fact that it doesn't is just awesome. I'll definitely have to check that out!
That dog picture is so funny! I love it when they lay in strange positions like that!
