This was great! :) I wake up at 4:30am to get to the gym by 6am during the week so I can workout before class and work. One thing I do is set my alarm clock/phone across the room, so when I wake up I have to get up to turn it off. Then I make myself turn on the light since I'm already up, then I'm usually awake for good haha. That usually works! :)
Since you were talking about protein shakes having bad stuff in them what do you think about Twinlab whey protein? I have been wanting someone to tell me it's ok!! :)
I love getting up early to workout! I agree that it definitely helps to have the right mindset before going to bed. Also getting into a routine where it's just something you do, telling yourself there are no excuses helps! Good tips :-)
I do put my alarm across the room also and have everything ready the night before except protein shake I make that right before I leave and eat my hot oatmeal and half of protein shake before workout the other half after I do put two scoops of protein.
Ha ha, I AM the complete opposite! Def a nite owl - I go to the gym at about 9:00 at night after my daughter goes to sleep! I love it and even if I am a little tired at the end of the day I find that I look forward to my time alone at the gym so much that it gives me a jolt of energy once I get there! I guess the key is to do whatever you know you will be consistent with! To each his own! :)
