Have I ever talked about how much I hate being alone? Well, let's discuss. I don't know where this came from or when it started but I just can't stand being at home alone. I'm not sure if it's a safety issue or just that I get bored without others around, but I do not like it. This becomes a problem when the boyfriend who also happens to be your roommate is going out of town for a couple of days. B is headed to Seattle for work and I'm stuck at home by myself! Luckily my sister is nearby and she is going to come hang out with me {right Bree?} and it's only for 2 days so I suppose I will survive. I know, I know you can say it.. grow up Britt! I will try my best to get over my fear, but in the meantime, I will likely spend my alone time cooking and baking like a crazy woman. Alright enough about my issues on to the fun stuff.

Turkey meatballs with spaghetti squash (it's under there, just hiding from the camera) and broccoli. I was SO excited to finally make the meatballs with fresh basil and it made a huge difference. I highly recommend it!
Salsa chicken salad with greek yogurt, tomatoes, and a couple dashes of hot sauce.
lol...you are funny. I don't really like being alone either.
ReplyDeleteI really need to try these meatballs, but with chicken, not sure why I just don't like like ground turkey.
Thanks to you, casein pudding is a staple snack before bed now...I just mix with some almond milk and I'm all set! Wonderful!

Bummer about not liking being alone. I have my moments. Sometimes I LOVE being alone then other times I HATE it. However, I am looking forward to the yummy recipes that are going to come out of B being gone LOL!! The chicken dumplings look YUUUMMMM-O!!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to ask you a couple of training questions. How much cardio do you do and also how early do you train and how do you supplement? I go to the gym at 4:30 and just put anything in my stomach at that time. So I do my workout and eat breakfast around 7:30. Do you think I should have a protein shake after my workout even though I come home and have full b-fast?
Hi Luvena- right now I'm not doing any cardio at all because I'm really trying to use these winter months to put on muscle. I keep my heart rate up through my workouts by keeping rests between sets to 1 minutes and doing supersets and dropsets. Once summer starts to roll around I will add in HIIT a couple times a week! I go to the gym at 5:45 and eat breakfast at 4:45. Even though it's early I highly recommend you have protein and carbs before your workout and protein and a fast acting carb after. You don't need a shake if you are able to eat immediately after your workout, but I would be sure to include some fruit in your breakfast to ensure the protein is getting to your muscles as quickly as possible. Hope that helps!!
DeleteSometimes I wish I had that problem. I moved in with my boyfriend last year and so there is the two of us, his teen daughter & my daughter, his senior mother and temporarily his daughter's boyfriend while he looks for an apartment. 6 people in a small home, it can be hard to find a private space to oneself & sometimes I really crave some alone time. But I guess a close family is a good family!
ReplyDeleteOh wow sounds like you've got a full house! I'm sure if I was in your shoes I would LOVE some time to myself. When I had roommates in college and needed to get away I loved going to a bookstore, grabbing a coffee and finding a comfy couch to read on... something about bookstores is so calming to me!
