Clean Snickerdoodles [!]

Obsessed. Love. Amazing. Do these words sound familiar?

Yes, they do and this is because I use them often. I just can't help that I "like" a lot of stuff, okay?! And, you guessed it I'm totally in love and obsessed with these amazing cookies that I created all on my own.

You know how much I LOVE (again, I know... can't help it) cinnamon and I realized today I needed to make a clean version of my second favorite cookie. Snickerdoodles.

1 cup oat flour
1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/3 cup Stevia
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg
1 tsp cinnamon
1tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

Did I mention these are the easiest cookies ever? Oh, well they are.

Topping: 1 tbsp cinnamon 2 packets truvia

1. Combine all ingredients in mixing bowl and mix well.
2. Drop dough by the tablespoon onto prepared baking sheet.
3. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar topping onto each cookie and flatten with a fork.
4. Bake at 350 for 12 minutes ( if you like your cookies crunchy I would do 15-18 min)
5. LOVE them. :)
*Note: this only made 5 cookies, next time I will double the recipe but probably keep Stevia the same.*

By the way, my Instagram obsession has resurfaced if you can't tell. My username is bldavila if you want to follow me... good way to get a sneak peak at what's to come on the blog!

  1. wow...i will most def have to try these tomorrow...a little weekend treat! Looks s0 easy and yummy. Thanks little b

  2. OH GIRL!! No you didn't!! HAAAAAAPPY FRIIIIDAY to us LOL. Thank you. I have a yummy treat for the weekend. YAY! I am also a lover of cinnamon. Its a family joke how much I go through.

  3. This recipe sounds amazing!! I'm going to try to make these this weekend with almond flour! Thanks for sharing. I will let you know how they turn out :)

  4. I now want not a dessert person--im more salty and crunchy!!! btw how are your parents doing with their eating clean?? Any fun updates or photos to share?? Have a great weekend

  5. Snickerdoodles are my dad's favorite cookie, and I am trying to get him to eat healthier, so I may have to get the ingredients!

  6. Hey you, I made them last night, doubled the recipee but not the sugar and I'm not a fan of how they turned out. I think the ration of flour, apple sauce and sugar was off. I'm going to try less apple sauce next time with the same amount of sugar. Just a thought.....Molly

  7. I just found your blog through Natalie Hodson, and I think I may love you! haha! Thank you for your recipes! I can't wait to try these today, my hubby and daughter are going to be soo happy!

  8. Could I use Truvia instead of Stevia?

    1. Yes, you will just want to use less since it's a lot sweeter.

  9. I knew they were not going to taste exactly like snooker doddle cookies, but I absolutely loved them! Thanks for posting this recipe.

  10. Do you have the nutritional info for this recipe? I made them last night and they made about 8 cookies.

  11. How much is a serving, like if i have one around 10-ish after dinner, ?

  12. I just made these, I liked the fact that there easy and not much ingredients, tho I have to be honest, they taste mm more like a bread than a cookie,i followed the recipe to the *T* and wasn't sweet much if anything a bit salty and like i said more like a bread. I did add some allspice to it. Oh well, Thanks. Gotta try things ya know :)

  13. I just made these using almond flour. they came out more like a muffin, and i had to double the almond flour. still super delicious.
