There is just something about shoulder day that makes me so happy! Our workout this morning looked like this:
(Each excerise was 8 reps x 3 sets)
Shoulder Press- Using 30 lb dumbbells again, yay!
Upright row super set with seated bent-over rear delt raise
Side lateral raise with cables
Arnold press super set with front dumbbell raise
Then we did an abs circuit of hanging leg raises, cable crunch, and bicycle crunch 10,10, 15 for 3 sets. This circuit was no joke! I was totally dying by the end, in a good way of course.
Another reason for my good mood?
It actually feels like winter in Arizona today! The news was showing all the snow up north and it is currently only 46 degrees, finally. I can't wait for the little snowflake icon to pop up on my car in the mornings, that means it's REALLY cold!
Hopefully my good mood from my workout this morning lasts all day, unlike yesterday which was officially the longest day of my life! I can't complain too much though because I got to eat some really great food.
I went out to lunch (which I pretty much never do) with one of my best friends to one of my favorite restaurants in Scottsdale. We both got the Tuscan Chicken Salad which is basically spinach, sun dried tomato, and chicken with a pesto sauce and balsamic dressing. I opted for the dressing on the side and passed on the pesto (looked kinda creamy) but it was still delightful.
Then I made one of my childhood favorites for dinner, spaghetti! This is honestly one of the easiest dinners to make, especially if you use a pre-made marinara sauce like Monte Bene all you really have to do is brown the meat and cook the squash. I would say everything from start to finish can be easily completed in 30 minutes. I added a side of spinach which ultimately just got mixed in with everything else. I'm so excited to eat leftovers for lunch, 12 o'clock can't come soon enough! Hope your Friday is filled with tasty food and chilly weather :)
